Thursday Morning News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


ywnisrael.israel· IDF soldiers taking part in counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested 12 suspects during the night.

· A 68-year-old male was killed early Thursday morning in a head-on collision in the W. Galil.

· Many gas stations and other businesses around the country reporting communications permitting automated credit card transactions are down. Credit card companies say the interruption of service is not at their end.

· A street cleaning vehicle went up in flames on Zalman Shazar Street in Nahariya. The vehicle was totally destroyed. The drier sustained light-to-moderate injuries.

· A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of puncturing tires of vehicles parked on Rabbi Kook Street in Bnei Brak.

· Ichud Hatzalah: A construction worker on Yakim Street in Yerushalayim sustained a moderate leg injury resulting from an electric saw.

· A fire broke out in an electric box in a three-story Elad shopping center. Seven fire apparatus responded as there were reports of heavy smoke conditions.
