Rice Arrives in Israel for a Last Ditch Effort

(Monday, August 25th, 2008)

Most view the arrival in Tel Aviv on Monday of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice a ‘last ditch effort’ to hammer out an agreement between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) during the Bush administration’s last days in office.

Rice is expected to hold a number of high-level meetings, including Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

Rice will try to present a more general or vague draft in the hope of meeting the approval of both sides but PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) appears he will not exhibit flexibility and will make demands that are deemed unacceptable to Israel.

Rice has been a NIGHTMARE for Israel. Whoever the US president is, was, or will be, the US State Dept is an entity unto itself with a LONG history of anti-semitism and anti-Israel policies. If you ever drive through Yehuda or the Shomron you will see their black Chevy suburbans with US State Dept license plates roaming all over. WHY? Because any time a Jew in a “settlement” puts one stone on top of another, (to build even a shed or a chicken coop) they are there to record it and lodge a complaint to the Israeli government and the UN. Let’s hope McCain doesn’t pick Condi to be his VP!!!
