The torah community is the only ones that support a united Yerushayalim consisting of the old city and the kosel. She is letting everyone know that Jerusalem is for sale, and the price is cheap.

For R. Yosef to call the hilonim “donkeys” was an insult, and in Jewish tradition a donkey is an honorable pious beast.

For Ms. Livni to say a government should not serve hareidim is perfectly logical since her party’s views on all issues, including economics, are not likely to win hareidi support, so she might as well appeal to bigotry who will vote against Torah even if they have to compromise all other issues.

Please put the story in context. It was made in response to R’ Ovadia referring to our secular brethren affectionately as chamorim. It’s OK for Him to make comments like that but Livni can’t respond?
