100 Trucks Carrying Aid Heading into Gaza

(Monday, December 29th, 2008)

Defense Minister Ehud Barak has authorized 100 trucks carrying pharmaceuticals and other basic supplies to enter Hamas-controlled Gaza on Monday. The trucks will cross into Gaza via the Karnei and Kerem Shalom Crossings.

In addition, fuel and cooking gas will be brought into Gaza via the Nachal Oz Crossing fuel facility.

According to Israeli sources, the aid is being furnished by the governments of Jordan and Turkey as well as international relief agencies.
