65 Drivers Arrested Over for DWI in Tel Aviv Area

It appears that drivers in Israel simply don’t get the message, with police reporting on Sunday morning that 65 drivers were arrested last week in the Tel Aviv/Gush Dan area for driving under the influence, recording illegally high levels of alcohol in their bloodstream. Nine of the arrests were made on Friday in the Tel Aviv district.

In one case, a youth attacked police. Police also report that in another case, the passenger, who they learned was driving earlier, was under the influence of drugs when he was operating the vehicle.

Earlier in the week, a 42-year-old driver under the influence slammed into a traffic signal leaving his 2-year-old child with light injuries and his wife in serious condition.
