Tuesday Afternoon News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


Nachal Chareidi soldier Shmuel Freimark, who was remanded for threatening organizers of motzei shabbos’ to’eva rally in Tel Aviv, has been released from incarceration.

**A mortar shell fired from Gaza landed in the Eshkol Regional Council area on Tuesday afternoon. No injuries.

**A policewoman heading north via the Jordan Valley Road mistakenly entered PA-occupied Yericho. She was removed unharmed by PA security forces.

**12 Israeli backpackers were held hostage for 2.5 hours while robbed of their possessions in Panama City, the capital of Panama. The armed bandits fled with their valuables. No injuries were reported.

**Today is the 52nd yahrzeit of the previous Belze Rebbe, Rav Aaron Rokach zt”l, an uncle of the current Rebbe Shlita. The Rebbe Shlita today visited the Tzion on Har HaZeisim.
