Whats the big deal if the article (or some story) used ashkenaz or sefard pronounciation? There is none. Everyone understands it quite well. Its the same words either way.

Believer, Saying that something that someone said is stupid is not quite the same as calling someone stupid. Even brilliant people may say something stupid from time to time. I do agree with you, however, that the comment was uncalled for. I am not sure what Elul has to do with this. It would be uncalled for during the other 11 months of the year just the same.
