France Expresses Increasing Concern Over Iranian Nuclear Program

sarkozy.jpgFrench President Nicolas Sarkozy stated his country’s intelligence community has learned without a doubt that Tehran’s nuclear program is motivated by military goals, to build a nuclear bomb, and not medical, educational and research as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would have the world believe.

In a meeting with local politicians, Sarkozy state Iran mustn’t be permitted to build a nuclear weapon since this would pose a threat to Israel. In his reference to Iran’s president, he said he would not shake his hands since he wishes to wipe Israel off the map.

France and other permanent members of the UN Security Council, together with Germany, will be convening on October 1st to discuss the Iranian issue.
