His late brother, Meir,alav hashalom was my best friend, and when he was niftar, I felt as if a member of my family had been niftar. His father was a well-known chazan in Montreal and beloved by everyone. I remember R’ Yitzchok as a sweet soft soul who had a love for Torah and a good vort for any occasion. May his soul be bound in the bond of eternal life. My condolences to the family.

yrs: yes. He was a “best friend” to me and many others. I remember that as a bochur he lost a brother in an MVA 27 years ago (Kislev 5743) and told me at the time that aveilus is an avoda that we sometimes have to do. May his memory be for a blessing for all those who were privileged to know him.
