to Poster # 4 – The individual from the Israel Antiquities Authority who convinced the Asra Kadisha representative had the same “facts” two weeks ago as he has now. It seems that the ones who presented the issue to Rav Elyashiv, Shlita, though, did not take the time to ascertain the actual situation before asking their She’eila, resulting in an incorrect Psak and a massive Chilul Hashem.

You can try to sugar-coat it as much as you’d like, but the bottom line is that this caused a significant Bizayon to Kavod HaTorah and Kavod HaRav, and cost Chareidim (and particularly Chareidi politicians) a significant amount of their credibility. True or not, this comes accross as a power play by UTJ that blew up in their faces.

#3 – R’ Elyashiv was not “fed wrong information by his “trusted” advisors”, he was paskining based on “facts” that were, at the time, generally believed to be the truth. Please don’t try to make this sound like R’ Elyashiv was intentionally “fed” false information.

Wow. You realize that they were saying all along that Rav Elyashiv Shlita was “fed” false information, hence his Issur to move the bones. You do realize what that means regarding future pronouncements Bshem Harav Elyashiv Shlita if in fact he was fed wrong information by his “trusted” advisors?

And the reason this conclusion was only reached now, after much damage was done to the reputation of Chareidim, is????

This issue has been dragging on for several years, and it is only now, after the huge outcry over Litzman’s seeming “power play”, that this conclusion that the bones can be moved is being made. What a tremendeous Chilul Hashem!!!

Any why if it’s not jewish is ok. If we expect other nations to respect jewish bones, then we should respect other religions too. Coming from Asra Kadisha, this is of great concern.
