Blair May Serve As Mideast Front Man For US President Trump

1Former British Prime Minister and Quartet Mideast Envoy Tony Blair may be serving under the Trump administration as a senior face for the administration in the Mideast.

The Daily Mail reports that Blair held a third secretive meeting since September 2016 with Jared Kushner, with the second and latest meetings taking place after President Trump’s election victory. Blair may serve as the Trump administration’s front man to coordinate peace-making efforts in the hope of making the “ultimate deal” as President Trump referred to it.

Blair is quite familiar with the players in the region as he served as the regional representative of the Quartet, the UN body combining the United States, the EU, Russia and the UN, working as a go-between as negotiating efforts took place between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority).

  1. Comment on Mail on Sunday story
Sunday, Mar 05, 2017 in Office of Tony Blair
?The story in the Mail on Sunday is an invention. Mr Blair has made no such ?pitch? to be the President?s Middle East envoy. Neither has he had any discussions about taking such a role or any role working for the new President. He has been working on the peace process for 10 years. He continues to do so. He does so in a private capacity. He will continue to do it in that way. Period.?

  2. No no no! He was a great friend of the Jewish communities and Israel as prime minister but after he retired his position he became a do nothing politician. Just look how much he achieved in his role in the middle East. Nice guy but will make things worse by doing nothing.

  3. So trump can’t find any American who is qualified for this task? Is it legal for a foreigner to conduct such business on behalf of the U.S.?
