19 – you’re proving my point. As I said before, you just have to switch a few nouns and thats exactly what Hamas is telling people in Gaza. In this case, switch ‘Arabs’ and ‘Jews’, ‘halakha’ to ‘sharia’ and ‘kahanists’ to ‘hamas’. At the end of the day if you want to stereotype an entire class of people as evil and use that as justification to do bodily harm to the, there is literally no difference between you and Bin Laden. No good comes out of and ideology that permits and validates hatred and racism. There are more productive ways to solve these problems, this viewpoint just makes everything worse.

18 – I don’t understand why there should be any equivalency between how the theocratic dictatorships in the Middle East treat their citizens and how a democratic country should treat its citizens. Our goal has to be either to promote the well-being of all citizens, Jewish or otherwise, or to reduce ourselves to ‘just another Middle Eastern government’ complete with the racism, ethnic cleansing, totalitarianism and institutionalized abuse of Human rights. If there are Arabs who we can prove are terrorists, then we should deal with them using due process(an innovation Israel could really use for Jews also). The reaction to hate them and throw them out is simply evil.

shintav, as a jew how could you say such horrible remarks?!!! We have a justifiable reason for hating the arabs. Their ultimate desire is to wipe us off the face of the earth. Granted, there are those who are indifferent, however, they are certainly not the majority. halachikly, many of them should be killed. The kahanists have a major justification for saying death to the arabs.

Also, 12 – The simple fact is that an Arab cannot walk anywhere in Israel as simply as you make it sound. I lived in the Old City for a period of time and I saw the police profiling old men and women and making them present identification just for being Arabs. I’ve also seen how Jews in Israel take pride in discriminating against arabs, cursing them out and attacking them. Kahanist thinking dehumanizes the Arabs and is shocked that some in the Arab community dehumanize us.
