The fact that many gedolim attended a simcha has nothing to do with the kashrus of the simcha, it's common amongst the gedolim to attend a simcha to wish Mazel Tov to the baal simcha and not even eat anything, perhaps just drinking a bit of shnapps for l'chaim

I think it's great to have lots of Kashuruth hashgachos. The more there are, the more we Jews feel that the world is becoming more of a Jewish-like place. One hashgacha for the world???

The last thing needed in BB is a new hashgacha. There are already multiple hashgachos in existance that clearly are sufficiently machmir because each of the rabbonim named in the article has previously attended (and presumably eaten at) simchos in BB without any difficutly. Could someone explain what is NEW that required the creation of a new hashgacha for this event? With such an "All-Star" lineup of gadolim in attendance, one might think that there would be sufficient expertise in hilchot kashrus to handle any shaiylah that might arise.
