I actually thought the story portrayed the williamsburg chassidim in a positive light as careful in their food choices on pesach.

to #2, why should we not have coke if it has reliable hashgacha? is it really necessary to have any beverage other than water? perhaps many jews would enjoy having some coke on the chag. i dont see any issue with this, what i sometimes question are all the new pesach products that have the appearance of actual hametz
