Four Men Arraigned In Connection With Bronx Shooting Of Off-Duty Policeman

Four men were arraigned Sunday in connection with last week’s attempted robbery at a Bronx car dealership that resulted in an off-duty police officer getting shot and wounded.

The Bronx district attorney’s office says a State Supreme Court judge set bail at $250,000 for Jeffrey Okine, Rayshaun Jones and Tyquez Harrell.

Marquis Daniels had his bail set at $100,000.

On Thursday night, prosecutors say Okine and Harrell entered the Olinville car dealership of the family of Officer Juan Pichardo and tried to rob it at gunpoint.

Pichardo, who was unarmed, struggled with Okine and was shot in the leg.

The officer was hospitalized and has since been released.

Harrell fled and was later found in a car with Jones and Daniels.

All four defendants face charges including assault and robbery.
