NYC Says It’s Prepared For The Storm

New York City officials say sanitation workers will be doing extra-long shifts starting Friday night as the storm settles in.

The sanitation department says it’s prepared to start plowing or salting even earlier on Friday if that becomes necessary.

Residents can track the progress of snowplows through the city’s web site.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg noted Thursday that if bad weather has to happen, it’s better to have it on a weekend.
