12 Shlichim Sent By Rav Kanievsky On Special Mission To Meron

[COMMUNICATED CONTENT] Each year, thousands of Jews from all over the world flock to the kever of the Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. The “Rashbi” promised happiness to all those who would rejoice on his yartzeit, and asked that there be celebrations at his gravesite.

A full night of singing, dancing, and prayer, it is truly one of the most beloved prayer gatherings in all of Israel. Many have claimed to have experienced tremendous miracles after celebrating the Rashbi’s yartzeit in Meron.

This year on Lag BaOmer, 12 special shlichim have been selected by Rav Chaim Kanievsky to fulfill an important task.

They will personally pray for all those who donate to a special fundraising campaign at the kever of the Rashbi.

The funds gathered for this campaign will go to destitute families in Israel.

Those who donate a certain amount will receive a personal phone call from the shaliach themselves, and the esteemed donor will have the opportunity to list the names they would like davened for personally, only to hear them echoed, live, at the resting place of the Rashbi.

Those unable to visit Meron this year have found this campaign to serve many purposes: fulfilling the request of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, having their loved ones prayed for personally live at his kever, being on the prayer list of Sar HaTorah Rav Chaim Kanievsky, and the merit of giving to a charity which help’s Israel’s poorest.
