Aides to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert are working to prevent party primaries towards permitting him to complete his term in office.
According to reports, Olmert’s confidants are meeting with and telephoning party leaders to express Olmert’s opposition to the move, adding that upon his return from Washington, he will work to cancel the planned meeting arranged by Tzachi Hanegbi to set a date for party elections.
