Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Yona Metzger is calling on all women to light Shabbat candles this Friday evening, to usher in the Sabbath. In his appeal to Jewish women around the world, Rabbi Metzger points out that the act of kindling Sabbath candles has a special ability to towards achieving personal salvation as well as for the family – the family of the Jewish People.
