Many elderly are on Medicare, and not all are fortunate to carry private insurance. Are you insinuating that anyone who does not share your financial status are “the schnorers the schleppers and the choleryahs”?

I am sure you had no such mean spirited intention, but please be careful before using derogatory language- it is always best to refrain from nasty terms altogether, unless, of course, you’re speaking about Reshaim and the like. Poor people don’t deserve to be belittled.

A real meshugass, 15 minutes down the road in Valley Hospital there is a world famous cardiac surgeon Dr Mindich, and 20 or 24 minutes away Hackensack has won awards as one of the best hospitals around with best statistics in the area for heart surgery. But, if you are on medicare and have no private insurance its easier to be in the borders of New York State, so Good Sam will get the schnorers the schleppers and the choleryahs…. where do you think baalebatish Monsey people will go?

I agree totally with destro613. I hope however they will get smart and open a real cardiac unit staffed by real professionals. The cardioligists they have now are no match for the city cardioligists and unless another hospital nearby goes into competition, I do not think it will be worth while going there
