That’s why they said that the people wouldn’t know where the sensor is. They won’t be walking knowingly into the area covered. Also, that’s why the Rabbi isaid he was going to look into the way it works

I was wondering the same thing. Is it halachically permissible to walk into an area you know that will cause the light to change?

How would this be any different than walking into an area with a sensor that turns a light on (something quite common), or into an area with a sensor that automatically opens a door?
