I knew him very well. His almana was my wife’s teacher in seminary, and they were heavily involved in our shidduch. I’ve heard many great talmidei chachomim refer to him as “Gold”.

R’ Dovid was a real Tzaddik, immersed in Torah learning and teaching his whole life. It is a very big loss for K’lal Yisroel.
