Lakewood Police are searching for the thief who stole a street sign from Magnolia Drive. The sign indicates that drivers must turn left or right onto North Lake Drive, the APP reported.
The sign at Magnolia Drive and North Lake Drive is a double ended arrow. It was reported missing about 10:50PM Thursday.
Without the sign, drivers unfamiliar with the area could accidentally proceed forward and end up in Lake Carasaljo.
Addison said that while taking a road sign is a theft, the person who took the sign could be liable for much more serious charges if someone is injured in an accident because of the missing sign.
