The GAVAD was a Ram in the Yeshiva in Wilrijk where my father had him in the late 60′s so I don’t think he was in England for 30 years.

The GAVAD escaped the Nazis and lived in England for 30 plus years before becoming a Dayan in Antwerpen / Anvers.

he never lived in England he lived in Antwerp Belgium for 50 years.

I agree that he is a gaon in midos, a wonderful caring person. Is there a recording of the shiur or can anyone who was there summarize it for us. What language was it in, he speaks a good English, having lived in England for about thirty years.
