As it turnes out the left lane was the cleanest and I was driving below the speed limit and with the flow of traffic. I agree with Mark Levin: “CHILL”

As far as your comments about being more concerned with my money, if you only knew me you would not say that. It happens to be I already thought of Halocha (it didnt take as long as you think b/c its SOOOO pashut) and there is NO DOUBT one needs to shovel their walk so people can pass without CHV getting hurt.

You may have trouble with what I am going to say next, but try and you may understand it – We, B’nai Torah are more concerned about what the halacha is, what HaShem wants of us, than we are concerned about being sued. You, on the other hand (based on your postings) are more concerned about your bank account! You didn’t say Chas V’Shalom someone will get hurt based on your negligence – you said Chas V’Shalom you will get sued – this clearly shows that your interest is not in the living but in dead Presidents lining your pockets!

How did an article about driving safely in icy conditions slip (all pun intended) into an argument about Bor B’rshus Harabim?
Anyways, please, please, be careful out there! Just this afternoon I was driving on a 3 lane highway in the left lane when I hit black ice and lost all control of my vehicle. My van did a 360 and ended up on the right shoulder. Miracle of miracles, my van and I came out unscathed. You can be assured; I SLOWLY drove the rest of the way, not going more than 35MPH.

Nice to see all the paskunyaks are getting involved here in the inyan (said with a yeshivish kvetch) of shoveling snow. How about this??? Dont do it and CHV someone will sue you so bad you wont have a penny left to your name. Maybe then you will learn your lesson (without Rishonim!).

according to Rav Yisroel Miller of Pittsburgh PA., It falls into the category of making a fence around your roof. the logic is that the posuk says “… don’t bring blood upon your house, for one who falls will fall from it….” someone may have to fall, don’t let the fall come from you!
