ELECTION COVERAGE VIDEO: Turner Campaign Takes Action On Voter Fraud In NY-9

[VIDEO BELOW OF VOTERS BEING INTERVIEWED]

The following is from National Review:

As Hans von Spakovsky reported this morning, New York’s Ninth Congressional district has a long history of Democratic voter fraud, and they may be about to continue the tradition this year, especially with Democrats looking perilously close to losing tomorrow’s special election. So far, the Turner campaign has already been notified of fraudulent absentee ballots, one sent to a voter who has never registered, and five to voters who are deceased.

In response, according to an exclusive report supplied to National Review Online, the Turner campaign is about to file an order to impound the absentee ballots that have been received so far, and any others received over the next few days, until they can be court-examined to determine that they were all filed by legitimately registered voters. According to an attorney for the Turner campaign, Grant Lally, in an interview with National Review Online, the concern is that “the Democrats will be entering paper ballots into the machines” without the validity of the ballots first being confirmed. Until the identities of the voters have been confirmed, the Turner campaign does not want absentee ballots counted, given the confirmed existence of irregularities.

“The Board of Elections is sending out ballots to people who are long deceased,” continues Lally. The absentee population is significant: Election headquarters have already received between 2,000 and 2,500 absentee ballots, and this number will undoubtedly grow, since ballots can be postmarked as late as election day, tomorrow. While there are few confirmed cases so far, this has only been “based on [the Turner campaign’s] small survey,” in Lally’s words, so the actual extent of the fraud may be far greater.

Lally says that the Turner campaign only “wants to have a clean election, with votes only cast by legitimate living people,” and that, naturally, if Turner’s margin of victory is greater than the number of absentee ballots, the issue would be discarded. Given that Turner is polling strongly in a district where the Democratic machine will drive turnout, however, this race could be extremely close and therefore vulnerable to any kind of fraud.

Turner spokesman Bill O’Reilly explained that, “Bob Turner is throwing a wrench into a liberally oiled political machine, so we  have to prepared for anything. These guys take no prisoners.” Time will tell, thanks to the Turner campaign’s intervention, just how real these these threats are.
