VIDEO: Jewish Woman Rescued After 28 Years in Tulkarem Area

A Jewish woman has been rescued from her life in PA (Palestinian Authority)-controlled Tulkarem area after 28 years, Channel 2 News reported. The Jewish female fell in love with an Arab man and agreed to move to Tulkarem and convert to Islam. She has since given birth to eight children and after years of torment and abuse, has made her way to freedom accompanied by two children.

It was Sari, a representative of Yad L’Achim who was in touch with “Mem” during the last month as arrangements were being made for her escape, to return home to her life in Israel. Mem, today 48, was born to a traditional family in Lod. During her years in the PA area, no one in her biological family knew what happened to her.

Mem explains that she was beaten and abused, and of late, tied to a tree which led to the decision to flee and seek a new life, her old life. Her husband decided to punish her for not speaking to him, and that led to tying her to a tree from morning until that night for a total of 13 hours.

The moment Mem phoned her Yad L’Achim contact to report she was in the cab the word spread through the organization to begin reciting tehillim for Dina bas Leah. In only seconds after crossing the IDF checkpoint and getting out of the vehicle into Israeli territory, Dina pulled off her Islamic hair covering in a symbolic move. Speaking in Hebrew with a heavy Arabic accent she admits if the children would have realized that when she got into the taxi she was not going to return to this life they would not have permitted her to go.

Dina admits now she feels quite good. When asked “What was your life like” she reveals that “one just works, nothing more. One does not leave one’s home”.

The two children who accompanied her, a boy and a girl, speaking in Arabic explain this is the first time in their lives they crossed into Israel. When asked “are you afraid” they responded “No, we are happy”. Mom only told the two what was taking place in the taxi heading for the IDF checkpoint. The other six children remain in the PA village.

Sari explains that to date no one in Dina’s family knew what happened to her and on one occasion, family members were summoned to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute to identify a corpse which officials thought may have been Dina’s. Thirty years ago she simply fled without a trace.

In an amazing story of ‘Hashgacha Prates’, about two months ago Dina had to visit a hospital inside Israel proper and did just that after receiving a permit from the IDF. At the hospital she ran into her biological sister who exclaimed “You’re still alive?!”

From the checkpoint she headed to police to file a complaint against her husband and to make arrangements that her children remain with her, and then to a hidden safe place arranged by Yad L’Achim to permit her to begin her new life together with two of her children.

Yad L’Achim officials had words of exalting praise for Minister of the Interior R’ Eli Yishai for simply eliminating red tape to permit bringing Dina home.

  1. Readers, you do not realize this is an ongoing problem in all communities.
I have met young girls from Kiryat Sefer, Betar, Yerushalayim, Nvei Yakov, etc….who have fell into the sly and vile hands of Arab men to become ensnarled into Arab villages and lives.

  2. We have to be mispallel that the Israeli courts will not order her to return these two children to their father who will no doubt petition the court complaining of kidnapping. And to anyone who thinks I am being sarcastic, I am not.

  3. its a real sad situation!!!
on one side she giving up on 6 of her children
but on the other side she saving 2 lives!
im sure it was very hard for her to make the decision!
misprobably her other children are older its much harder to get them out when they grew up not knowing anything else
its or she giving up 8 or saving 2!
i wish her lots og luck on her ardous journey!
    hands up to yad lachim!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Yad L’Achim is an amazing organization! In addition to rescuing Jewish women like this woman from the Arabs (sometimes having to execute commando-like “raids”), they also rescue Yidden from the clutches of missionaries… and they do all of this without ANY help from the zionist authories and, as often as not, in the face of RESISTANCE from them.

    Yasher Koach Yad L’Achim
