WATCH THIS FLASHBACK VIDEO: Mitt Romney Praising Donald Trump After He Endorsed Him In 2012

tr[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

On Thursday, February 2, 2012, Donald Trump endorsed former Massachusetts Governor and failed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for president.

Following brief remarks by Trump, Mitt Romney then heaped praise on Trump saying:

“Donald Trump has shown an extraordinary ability to understand how our economy works and to create jobs, he has done it in Nevada and across the country. He is one of the few people who stood up and said China has taken jobs from Americans. We believe in free trade but we have to have a President to stand up and not allow people to cheat day in and day out.”

Romney is scheduled to speak today and say “‘Trump is a phony, a fraud’ who is ‘playing the American public for suckers’.

The former presidential candidate has emerged in recent days as an aggressive critic of Trump, using Twitter to call on the billionaire to release his tax returns and to denounce his refusal to disavow the endorsement of his campaign by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.

Trump, in turn, has taken to attacking Romney on Twitter, tweeting “I am the only one who can beat Hillary Clinton. I am not a Mitt Romney, who doesn’t know how to win. Hillary wants no part of ‘Trump’” and “Why did Mitt Romney BEG me for my endorsement four years ago?”

  1. Romney has shown himself many times over to be unworthy of the highest office in the land now, Trump is just stating the obvious truth now.

  2. Coming from the One who in 2012 primaries taught us “A smear that goes unanswered is a smear that sticks”?

  3. The problem with Ted Cruz is he always seems unhappy. He needs to give off positive vibes; a charm.

The reality in post modern democracy, you need to encompass the greater public (probably females moreso ) with your vibes

  4. It seems
almost a Gen-X version of Nixon vs. a GOP NYer version of Bill Clinton

While Rubio appears to have had his selling points ,platform and policies written by his background operatives and the RNC

    HOWEVER, these are rectifiable

Campaigns themselves Make/shape alot of the Candidate

SO stay tuned, and take it slowly

e.g in 2008, Hillary was the subtle anti black candidate, even making some racial insinuations about Obama and beating Barak H. O. handily among rural and blue collar whites. This time around she is the pro-Black, pro-minorities candidate

  5. What Romney said then meant nothing, and what he says now means nothing.
He’s a politician. What he says is motivated by nothing but expediency. This is true of all politicians, more or less.
    We all know that well.
Why do we all pretend there’s more to it than that? I guess that’s more fun, we can pretend we are excellent analysts, and smarter than everyone else.

Trump, he is probably the same. Except that his arrogance supercedes expedience. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.

  6. first mitt was happy with hes endorsement as a business man that trump shows great one but not to be in office while he didnt know anything in politic business and politic are realy different cruz shows the last 4 years that he know politic and stand on what he say
its great that they started harming trump thats the only way as you see on the results at super tuesday that what he wins was very close after having double digits lead in the polls and he lost three states after rubio harms hem thats because realy he dont have anything only that he is a show player

  7. How long will The Party of the Elephant and commentariat still ignore the “elephant in the room”?

The real source and foundation that Trump took off is the GOP sold out the blue collar, State college grads, and lower middle class, over and over

Trump is the only candidate in the GOP who’s championing them

    Guaranteed!!

Any of three remaining candidates besides Trump who promises modification of the TPP
(e.g. like Hillary woke up to and demanded a couple of months ago)
promise to completely annul “Too Big To Fail”,

Admit that Free Trade Agreements and MFNA have been a Mixed blessing At best,

Admit that Resolution of Immigration has to take the american working class into the discussion

    Will Win the Primary
    and most probably the Election

  8. Follow up on my post.
Whether good or bad, it is a strong rallying flag for anyone who is not a foolish whining liberal. And I think there are lots and lots of people sick of political correctness.
I think he might become president, regardless of whatever he says or does now.
