VIDEO & PHOTOS: Brush Fire In Jerusalem

[VIDEO & PHOTO LINKS BELOW] As the temperatures in Jerusalem continued to rise over the last few days, dry brush on the hills of certain neighborhoods have been prone to catch fire recently. The Jerusalem Fire Brigade has been on standby to deal with these incidents and has at times used preventive measures to contain fires such as the ones today at the foot of the Mattersdorf and Ramot neighborhoods.

  1. It’s usually the same kids who are looking, who lighted the fire.

Parents should take responsibility for their children proper behavior and taking responsibility themselves.

  2. As a Jerusalem resident, I am not aware of what you say, “As the temperatures in Jerusalem continued to rise over the last few days”. It has been very pleasant for the past few days. If there are any fires, it is not because of the pleasant weather, it is because of matches.

  3. While, no doubt, some fires are set by wild children, most of the fires of this kind in Israel are set by Arabs in an attempt to murder Jews. It is just as important for the parents to take responsibility for employing Arabs and thereby giving them access to our cites as it is to take responsibility for their children.

Furthermore, young children imitate their parents. When a child sees his father and the fathers of his friends wildly dancing around a fire, he concludes that this must be a good thing to do and tries it himself. That is why there are so many small fires set after LAG BEOMAR.
