Meteorologists with the National Weather Service have confirmed that a tornado touched down in the Finger Lakes during violent storms over the weekend.
The weather service in Binghamton confirmed Monday that the tornado touched down around 4:40 p.m. Sunday in the Schuyler County town of Reading, just outside the village of Watkins Glen.

A vehicle rolled into a ditch on Ranch Road in Monticello, Sunday afternoon, sending 7 people to the hospital. The crash happened around 4:00PM, on Ranch Road near Heiden Road.
Thankfully, there were no serious injuries reported, but 7 people were transported to the hospital.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that three tornadoes hit upstate New York during severe storms on Tuesday.

Truck Hit By Object Thrown From Thruway Overpass
State police say they're investigating damage caused to a tractor-trailer by an object that was tossed from a Thruway overpass in western New York.
Investigators say the truck was traveling on Interstate 90 early Thursday morning when it was struck by an object that was apparently thrown from an overpass in the Monroe County town of Wheatland, 10 miles southwest of Rochester.
The driver wasn't injured.
