Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the beginning of formal construction of the New NY Bridge to replace the Tappan Zee with installation of the first permanent piles that will comprise the foundation of the new bridge. Today, at about 1:00PM< the Ramapo police department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Viola Road, in Monsey, New York, just west of Concord Drive. On August 29, 2013 at approximately 2:55 pm, Ramapo Police responded to a car/pedestrian accident in front of the Mount Ivy Diner on Route 202, in Pomona NY.
