Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the beginning of formal construction of the New NY Bridge to replace the Tappan Zee with installation of the first permanent piles that will comprise the foundation of the new bridge. Today, at about 1:00PM< the Ramapo police department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Viola Road, in Monsey, New York, just west of Concord Drive. On August 29, 2013 at approximately 10:35 am, Ramapo Police arrested Pricila Aracena, age 49, of Stony Point NY. Ms. Aracena was charged with Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor. A police investigation revealed that Ms.Aracena while employed as a housekeeper for a Town of Ramapo resident, did steal $60.00 in cash from the homeowner’s pocket book.
