Monsey: Paintball Shooting Suspects In Court
The three people who allegedly shot paintballs and yelled out ethnic slurs at three Chaveirim Volunteers in Monsey, are due in court today. Shashi Ramsaroop, his fiancée Lindsey Peaks, and her brother Demetrius Torain are facing hate crime charges. Police say the trio shot a Chasidic man in the stomach with a paintball gun in the Orthodox village of Kaser. The suspects could face up to 18 years in prison. (Source: News 12)

Ramapo Police responded to N. Garfield Rd. in New Square at approximately 8:55pm, Sunday evening, to investigate a motor vehicle accident. Investigation on scene revealed that an 8-year-old child (female) had run from her house on N. Garfield Rd. out into the roadway in front of an oncoming 2012 Honda Odyssey and was struck. United Talmudical Academy in Spring Valley channeled its inner circus yesterday. The school brought in circus elephants to entertain hundreds of boys at summer camp. However, the village put a stop to the festivities when they said the school was in violation of a zoning rule.
