Ramapo Police Department patrol units responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in which a pedestrian was struck. Upon arrival, patrol units found that a pedestrian was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle driving on North Saddle River Road in the vicinity of Lane Street within the Town of Ramapo. A new program was announced today in the hopes to entice more people to sign up as volunteer firefighters and EMTs in Rockland County.
