Tappan Zee Bridge Repairs To Continue

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that routine repairs on the Tappan Zee Bridge will continue on Monday, November 23, through Tuesday, November 24, during off-peak travel times, weather permitting. The Tappan Zee Bridge was built in 1955 and is more than three miles long. The 50-year-old bridge currently requires ongoing maintenance activities. Motorcyclist Strike Traffic Cop in Nahariya

A traffic policeman sustained moderate injuries during the night after being struck by a motorcycle. The driver was ordered to pull over for a routine inspection but ignored the policeman, striking him. The second policeman at the location managed to subdue the suspect and place him under arrest.
