Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, pushed back on reports suggesting Israel could be pressured into a bad deal, saying the U.S. and Israel remain aligned on their objectives regarding Iran. “We have the same objectives. We have the same intentions. We don’t want to see Iran become a regional power, and we don’t want to see a menacing, malign regime in Iran,” Leiter said, adding that the two countries have worked together to prevent that outcome and will continue to do so.
