5:10PM (Friday): Catskills Hatzolah is currently on the scene of a drowning in Ichud Bungalow Colony (Satmar) on Route 42. The victim is a child – exact age unknown. Units on scene are requesting a medevac to the scene. The Monticello Fire Department is securing a landing zone at the Monticello High School.

The child is R”L in cardiac arrest

UPDATE 5:40PM (Friday): The 8-year-old child is being transported by ambulance to Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC). The child is still in cardiac arrest, so must go by ground to the nearest hospital.

UPDATE 6:00PM (Friday): The child has just been flown from CRMC to Westchester Trauma Center in Valhalla, NY. He has a pulse, but remains in critical condition.
