IMO – no. BUT
NO one should enter their room without knocking and without permission, unless there is a serious and well-founded concern of some type. Kids need privacy, but there has to be seichel involved as well. The ones least in need of locks, are the ones who are most trustworthy. If they “need” a lock, they are possibly up to something, or know that their PARENTS are not so trustworthy and are snooping.
