It is the assumption that the tsibbur must also abide by these same chumros that I question. This thread started with the question of eiruvim. The real tsaddikim will be “machmir” upon themselves but “pasken” “lekuloh” for the tsibbur. The same with the present discussion,. The tsibbur should be responsible for reasonable checking. To use outlandish means should not be imposed upon the tsibbur.
