On a more lamdusheh note; why do some poskim hold you do NOT need to repeat shmoneh esre if you don’t have any kavanah during the first brachah (even though lehalacha you would need to repeat davening) because we say it’s not guaranteed you will have kavanah the second time around either, yet on the other hand we say you DO need to repeat shmoneh esre if you forget certain additions. Who’s to say that you won’t space out and forget them the second time around, too? Same Svarah, Different Davening…
