The Tifferes Yaakov says befairush that there’s only one string of Techeiles. His pshat therefore is that it’s awesome that you can have such a manifestation on a mere string. And granted that if you held two or four strings you could say the same pshat, but the Gemara doesn’t say “strings” and the Tifferes Yaakov doesn’t prove that it’s lav davka.
