Not to go off topic, but your comment reminds me of an old joke…
One cold winter night in the 1960’s a Yid living in Moscow hears banging on his door at 3 o’clock in the morning.
He grabs on a robe and asks who it is.
“It’s the mailman” comes the gruff reply.
When he opens the door two agents of the KGB (secret police) push their way in.
“So, Goldshteyn, we hear you’ve applied for an exit visa to Israel, is that right?”
“Yes, that’s true.”
“But why? Don’ you have enough to eat here?”
“Yes, I guess so.”
“And didn’t you get a decent Soviet education here?”
“Yes, I suppose so.”
“And don’t you have a roof over your head?”
“Yes, I do.”
“So then Goldshteyn, why would you want to leave mother Russia?”
“Well, I guess it’s because I don’t like mailmen banging on my door at at 3 o’clock in the morning!”
