But me personally, I think RFDOS will figure prominently in the new serial Mishpacha is starting in their Sukkos issue, about Bayla Genendel, who has a daughter, Shira Bracha Leah, in shidduchim, who is afflicted with a severe case of RFDOS, and is trying desperately to hide this from the neighbors and the neighborhood shadchanim, while simultaneously dealing with her son, Baruch Ber, who was learning in a top Yeshivish Yeshiva but has been secretly going to the tish of the local very Chassidish Rebbe Friday nights and chapping shrayim (he’s addicted to the smell of the lokshen kugel), and her other son, Feivish Mendel, who is attending a top Yeshivish high school, and has been bullied since second grade by the local bully (the son of Bayla G’s second cousin) and as a result he’s started wearing a clip on his yarmulka and listening to CD’s that are not approved by Badatz, and her 5 year old triplets, Chynka, Chaya and Reva, who are disturbingly beginning to show early signs of RFDOS as well. Or are they just picking up the behavior from their older sister while their mother is on the phone with shadchanim?
The serial will end on or around Rosh Hashana 5717, at which time (we hope) crazybrit will have come up with a different syndrome that Mishpacha can use to occupy our hearts and minds.
