I helped my mother with the invitations when my brother got married.
We did it on the computer, which was a bit of a pain, since neither of us own one, and we had to go to a relative’s house to use hers.
After all the envelopes were printed and we were looking them over at home, we noticed that two of them had serious typing errors. My mother asked me to redo them.
I replied that it’s a waste of time to go back to the computer and pull up the program just for two envelopes. I said I could take a pen and do those by hand; it will take far less time.
My mother was concerned that people would be offended at receiving a hand writen envelope.
Dear Coffee Room Residents: If you would receive a wedding invitation, and the envelope was hand written: On a scale of one to ten, how offended would you be?
(just in case you’re wondering…no, I don’t bother my relatives every time I want to go to the coffee room. That is what libraries are for!)
