That could easily be me, and if I’m the one you meant, I’m sorry. If its not me you had in mind, I’m still guilty of this, so I ask mechila. Like you said, we sometimes express our opinion to give voice to those we feel are being taken (or taking) advantage of. Still, its no reason to take it to the gutter.
