GAW, that was my first thought too 🙂
As for covering your hair after yichud – I was told to keep my veil on. It is a HEAD covering, as opposed to a HAIR covering. Head vs Hair covering is a big halachic debate in the gemara. I would assume that is what people who cover their hair fully after their wedding day rely on.
