Excellent. Just remember that Chazal said one should learn from a Rebbe, and not alone, as learning alone creates mistakes. If you had learned from your Rebbe (and not Rebba, Rebbe) what are the halachic parameters of Hilchos Shabbos rgarding Daber Davar (or even looked up the Mishna Berurah Siman 307), then you would have known that your statement was Am HaAratzus.
Making up Halacha doesn’t make it into Halacha.
