thank you newbee for the raising the discussion. you have said very clearly that you are interested in hearing our feelings when connecting with Hashem. however i feel that it is important to bring to your attention the following point. we are not supposed to trust our feelings entirely. although they can be excellent for motivation and other tools, we are to make our decision on logic. this point is brought up in numerous sefarim.
and personally when i connect to Hashem, i sometimes feel absolutely nothing. ans sometimes i feel on top of the world. and sometimes in between. i hope this post helps you somewhat
