Randomex: How many people (that you don’t quote here) do you think read this thread?

Patur Avul Assur: Everyone.

Well, let’s find out! If you read this thread, please speak up.

If you don’t read this thread…

Never mind, this poll is called off!

Me: You’re either proclaiming real arrogance or remaining in-character, right? Or is there a third interpretation?

Patur Aval Assur: Depends what you mean by “in-character”.

I retract both interpretations of your statement as mistakes.

The first interpretation (proclaiming real arrogance as a joke) is still a valid option for your question, but unless I’m mistaken, the meaning of both is that you wanted to clarify whether I was or was not accusing you of arrogance.

“Facetious”

(Randomex)

“I think this is facetious…”

(Randomex)

Please disregard those statements, everyone. The meaning I intended is not what “facetious” actually means – I too am occasionally tripped up by my own Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness.

“…I realized how bad your portrayal of the other CR members was…”

(DaasYochid)

So, by considering this a relevant comment about you, are you saying you were actually attempting to portray us in character?

To clarify a previous comment:

merely spewing Aramaic quotes that have no relevance to anything, but give the impression of being somewhat learned.

(Patur Avul Assur)

Precisely the point I was trying to make

So you don’t actually think that I am merely spewing Aramaic quotes that have no relevance to anything, but give the impression of being somewhat learned?

She doesn’t have to answer that!

I’ll answer for myself, though – I know

that not to be the case.

(Explanation for everyone else: All she said was that her statement did not mean that – she did not say whether she believed it or not. That’s what he’s asking.)
