I am inclined not to believe this story…..Simcha is Ok but shira not? bunim (the gerrer rebbe’s name zz’l) comes from the french -“bonhomme-good man”. That is OK, but not shira? the epitome of loshon kodesh?? I don’t believe this story. And what kind of “taanah” is it that it is “zionistic”? Is Boaz (dovid hamelech’s great-grandfather) zionistic? this whole thread does not sound right at all.
