We see the flames, we watch them burn
Watch them flicker to and fro
But see the lesson we must learn
And see what everyone must know
Just as the candle on its own
Waits for that spark of illumination
But once that smallest spark is sown
It gives light for all, and inspiration
So too, our soul awaits that spark
That one small flicker of Torah light
That will illuminate the dark
And keep on burning through the night.
